Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kyoto – Japan

Fushimi Inari Taisha is a very important Shinto shrine dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice. The shrine is located on top of the sacred Inari mountain near Kyoto. A pathway wanders 4km up the mountain and is lined with dozens of atmospheric Torii gates ( those mark the approach and entrance to a shrine). An incredibly beautiful place!

  1. I loved the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, wonderful pictures, takes me back. I was visiting Japan during Cherry Blossom season – such a beautiful country. Recently wrote a post about the blossoms on my travel & photography blog as well 🙂
